Olympus Has Fallen (2013)
…ke these crop up here and there during OHF… and, y’know what? It’s still a kickass time. Lots of solid shooting, fisticuffs, and sneaking, a cast loaded down with actors giving the exact performance they need to for an adrenaline-soaked time like this (particular Kudos to Melissa Leo as the Secretary of Defense Ruth McMillan. She’s one tough bastard!) Olympus Has Fallen doesn’t perfectly replicate the magic of Die Hard, but it takes that formula a… Continue reading

Interview: Why Seth Green Loves Geek and Gamer Girls
…ty of characters like Ripley, Xena, and Buffy, aren’t there more roles for ass-kicking women? Seth: I don’t know that there’s an actual dearth of roles, but there is a glut of content. The really great characters and performances become unforgettable, like the ones you mentioned. AFC: Knowing the women of Team Unicorn, what roles do you think would best suit each of them? Seth: They’re all shockingly versatile actresses. I’d be interested in seein… Continue reading

Road House (1989): Skinny Dipping and Throat Ripping
…here those came from. If you are ever in the mood for a good old fashioned ass kicking movie, Road House is a great one to watch. It is mostly Swayze beating up everyone without breaking a sweat. Sometimes it’s nice to see a movie that still kicks butt without a lot of special effects, guns, or acrobats. According to Dalton, “Nobody wins a fight,” but he sure as shit wins some fights in this classic flick. Ooooh, Canadian Tuxedo you are going down… Continue reading

Ghostbusters (1984) – Who You Gonna Call and What to Do Until They Show Up
…ie Hudson make up the perfect foursome to deliver laughs. And don’t forget kicker of asses Sigourney Weaver. We get to see a different side of her in this flick: a barking, floating above the covers side. She leaves all the ghostbusting up to the “professionals.” The Ghostbusters are very popular. In fact, they are in such high demand these days that you might find yourself in a bit of a predicament when there’s a ghost in your house because the G… Continue reading

The Walking Dead 3-12: Away With You!
…ittle light in that ice-cold soul of his. They then grab a crib for Little Ass Kicker and meet back up with Rick. Luckily for them, Morgan has been stockpiling everything he could get his hands on and has weapons and ammo galore. They take what they can and head out, leaving Morgan behind. I think Rick found a little hope that things will get better after seeing how crazy Morgan was. Here’s hoping! Oh, and at the beginning of the episode they driv… Continue reading
