Courtesy of Sony Pictures, I’ve got an ongoing Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day promotion giving away posters and actual props used in the movie. To give away posters, we’ll draw winners from people who promote the contest through their blogs or by tweeting a link to the giveaway information (shortened url = http://3.ly/boon2); and to give away props, we’re getting a judge to pick his favorite tweets (remarks on twitter) on the topic “Vigilante Movies – Good, Bad, Right, Wrong)” – see “The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day PROPS AND POSTERS” for further details.
After we already had that in motion, the film makers asked if we could incorporate some trivia questions into the giveaway. I said sure, if Sony would give us some posters, and so Sony is giving us some more posters.
Question #1: Special Agent Eunice Bloom wears surgical gloves in what color? And name the actress.
Answered by @astreastar: @actionchick Pink? Julie Benz http://3.ly/boon2 #BDS2
Question #2: In Boondock Saints II Special Agent Eunice Bloom lays what color of rose on Smecker’s tombstone? And who’s Smecker?
Answered by @AJavaJunky: @actionchick A white rose and he is the special agent who helped the brothers in the first movie.
Question #3: The year of death listed on Smecker’s tombstone is what?
Answered by @CASEYinRealLife: @actionchick Smecker’s grave states 2003.
Question #4: pt. 1 Name any actor or character who appears in ONLY ONE of the Boondock Saints movies.
AND pt. 2 Detective Duffy refers to the uniformed officer in the church by what Irish name?
Answered by @VeganVita: Ron Jeremy…Seamus.
A lot of people answered correctly, but these folks each answered first. Those who answered the first four get posters. They remain eligible for a prop giveaway, but there are so many people interested in these items that I have to set a 1 item per person limit, so if anybody wins both, they’ll have to choose between poster and prop. I’ve already got a winner for one prop, though. For answering the 5th Boondock Saints II trivia challenge, Faith McKiernan gets a rosary used in the film.
Question #5: Name the Mexican restaurant where shootout takes place & name any surviving character.
Answered by @Veritasfaith: @actionchick @seanflanery George, murph, connor, murph, and romeo and silver peso!
Afterward, a couple of tweeters who’d participated in the trivia challenge showed me their Boondock Saints tattoos. At the top of this page, see Jennifer Chacon’s wrist tattoo which says Aequitas when you look at it from one direction, but Veritas when you turn it over.
And here Jess McC. shows off her tummy tatt, adding, “I would have loved 2 get the words on my hands but my career field is still tatt unfriendly… :(“
Speaking of hand tatts, here we have pics of one of my brothers showing off his hands and back. One of the many nice things I’ve gotten to do as the Action Flick Chick was giving him 1 of 2 Saints II posters signed by the director and cast, which I’d received as gifts when I interviewed several of them last summer. (I, of course, have the other signed poster.)

If you’re going to get a tattoo identical to two of the awesomest murderous movie character brothers, I hope you’re a hit-man, some sort of assassin, an all around bad-ass, or at the very least a serial killer. Of course I am referring to the hand tattoos. The back piece is sick nonetheless.
