The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day PROPS AND POSTERS

2009’s most frequently downloaded article at actionflickchick.com has been the Chick’s review of Troy Duffy’s 1999 film The Boondock Saints, which starred Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus as Irish-American brothers who feel God has called upon them to gun down a bunch of Boston mobsters.

The Baddies: All Mob members or the MacManus twins, depending on if you think it’s good or bad that the MacManuses are killing mobsters.

Newcomers to this site might wonder why a film the Action Flick Chick loves so much “only” got 3 Willem Dafoes in drag out of 5. It’s an action scale, not a statement about overall quality. Boondock Saints movies rate well on overall quality. Love them!

After all this talk about these movies, the time has come to give some of you posters and props from The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day.

Courtesy of Sony Pictures, the Action Flick Chick gets to give away some actual items used in the movie. We’ll tell you which items soon. For now, here’s how you get started.

1. If you’re not on twitter, join it. Right now.
2. Tweet on the topic that appears below. Answer on twitter, not here.
3. Either address your tweets to @actionchick and/or add the hashtag #BDS2 at the end so we can find your comments if they’re visible in search. (They might not be visible if twitter flagged you for looking spammy, in which case you must direct them all to @actionchick to be safe.) Tweet publicly, not privately – i.e., not via DM.

Props will be given away based on the judge’s favorite answers to the topic below. Posters, however, will be given away randomly to some of you who share this contest whether by RT, message board (without spamming!), etc.

Topic: Vigilante movies – best, worst, right, wrong.

Interpret that topic however you like.

The judge (to be announced) will pick his or her favorites however he or she likes. Your answers do NOT have to be about The Boondock Saints. “Favorites” will mean whatever the judge or judges feel like at the time – smartest, funniest, who knows. Just have fun with it.
