All Request December: Ninja Assassin (2009)
For the win: What is small, mostly annoying, and completely inappropriate to bring to a showing of Ninja Assassin? If you guessed a small, yappy dog, you’re wrong. Try again. If you guessed a cell phone, you’re wrong and you … Continue reading

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (2009)
BDSII starts with the killing of a priest. This causes the MacManus brothers (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus) to come out of hiding to take care of some baddie business. Along the way, they pick up a new sidekick, Romeo (Clifton Collins, Jr). The new FBI agent in charge of the MacManus crime scenes, is the gorgeous, smart, Special Agent Eunice Bloom (Julie Benz). 2012 (2009) Spoilers Galore!
I can think of about 2,012 reasons why you shouldn’t watch 2012, but I will spare you the full list for right now. The whole “end of the world will happen in 2012” mostly came about because the Mayan Long Count calendar ends in December of 2012. So is this going to be another Y2K scare or will the Earth really end? Who cares, but in the movie 2012, the earth really gets effed up and a metric butt-ton of people die.

The Boondock Saints II Premiere
In one of my earlier articles I mentioned that I was so pumped to see The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day(BDSII) that I would kill a man just to see it. Well, I’m not going to say what exactly went down, but I did get to see the premiere of All Saints Day a few days ago and it was friggin’ awesome! Joining me (and 300 other people) at the premiere was writer/director Troy Duffy, and the two stars Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery. They held a short Q & A session after the flick and then devoted some time to autographs.

Movie Chicks on Horror Flicks: Paranormal Activity (plus an even scarier nerd in the night)
Buzz has gone wild for the low-low-low-itsy-bitsy-teensy-weensy budget ($15,000) fright film Paranormal Activity from DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures.
Read several other fangirls’ linked reviews. Watch the trailer that some people found too scary to sit through, and if you don’t think that’s scary enough, just wait until the Action Flick Chick’s friend Andre Meadows (BlackNerd of Reelz Channel’s Movie Mob) shows you what a nerd does in the dark. You’ve been warned! Continue reading

Round 1: The Opening Sequence! Kindergarten Cop (KC) opens with the scruffy John Kimble (Arnold), a tough police detective, following the baddie, Cullen Crisp (Richard Tyson), around a mall. A few minutes later he is busting up into a ritzy salon pointing a gun in Crisp’s face while the shmuck is trying to get a manicure. Who knew getting a mani/pedi was a crime? Continue reading
