Interview with Wrong Turn 3’s Declan O’Brien and Janet Montgomery
…all really. Janet: I love movies in general. I have such a wide spectrum. Horror movies scare me, so I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to horror movies. Although, since I’ve worked in them, I can start to take them more because I know how it works. I know it’s not real. AFC: So your last few movies have been horror. Is there another genre you want to get into? Janet: I am so open to do anything. I would love to do a comedy or like a straight dra… Continue reading

Movies That Gave You Childhood Nightmares
…ovie that gave me nightmares, but I do not know the name… It was a Serbian horror movie. @barrywebber: @actionchick don’t know the name (it was in the 70’s) but it involved a big lava pit and some evil tribe pushing good ones into it. *shiver* @tinlizzy85: @actionchick actually any movie about demonic possesion creeps me out @aboynamedart: @actionchick what are romantic comedies, if not the stuff of nightmares? @actionchick: What movie has invaded… Continue reading

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil
…the film for you! This flick is a clever reversal of the psycho hillbilly horror subgenre, and managed to be an original and funny flick, thanks in no small part to a great script and even greater leads. Tucker (Alan Tudyk) and Dale (Tyler Labine) are two rednecks who go on vacation to an old, dilapidated cabin. In the woods camping close to the cabin is a group of college kids who have seen way too many horror films. When Tucker and Dale actuall… Continue reading

The Slumber Party Massacre (1982): RSVP to This Forgotten Slasher Classic
…den Jones, The Slumber Party Massacre (SPM) is often touted as a “feminist horror story.” It still checks off a lot of the obligatory horror movie clichés like outrageous nudity, jump scares, and a character being so close to getting help yet the TV or some other noise drowns out their screams for help and screams of death (specific, I know, but it happens more often than you’d think). To counter these tropes, however, SPM features a large cast of… Continue reading
