Site: Action Flick Chick Post: The Wolfman (2010): Speak, Wolfman Speak by Action Flick Chick Katrina Hill: “The plot of The Wolfman is very simple and has been done several times before. The town’s inspectors are out to try and stop the creature before it kills… well, frickin’ everyone.” Site: The Stylus Post: Review: Wolfman by Theresa Gee: “Even w… Continue reading

Movie Chicks on Action Horror Flicks: Legion (2010)
Site: Action Flick Chick Post: Legion (2010): Embrace the Awfulness by Action Flick Chick Katrina Hill: “Now don’t get me wrong, Legion was a terrible movie with so many things wrong with it that Michael Jackson’s plastic surgeon couldn’t put it back together again. You have to embrace all of the awfulness and just have fun with it.” Site: ElleVee Post: Movie Review: Legion by Elle Vee: “It is a bizarre cinematic failure, makes almost no sense, a… Continue reading

Movie Chicks on Horror Flicks: Daybreakers (2010)
Site: Action Flick Chick Post: Daybreakers (2010) by Action Flick Chick: “Finally! We get a movie with ‘real’ vampires and none of this ‘I sparkle in the sun and read minds’ bullcrap.” Site: The Austin Chronicle Post: Daybreakers by Kimberley Jones: “It’s a little bit silly – as is Dafoe’s Kentucky-fried cowboy mechanic named Elvis – but silly is fun. In fact, one wishes it were sillier still.” Site: Empire Post: Daybreakers (15) by Helen O’Hara:… Continue reading

The Stepfather (2009) Spoiler! (Movie Chicks on Horror Flicks)
Film Trailer for The Stepfather (2009) Spoiler! Just to make this clear to everyone: I did not watch The Stepfather. I didn’t watch this weak-ass remake mainly because I saw the trailer, and it seemed like the trailer told me the whole story and the rest was very predictable so why even bother to watch the movie? Well, I was right. I read the pooper at www.moviepooper.com and it was just as I thought. So now I want to spoil it for you guys as wel… Continue reading

Review: The Cabin in the Woods (2012)!
…so that nothing gets spoiled. All you should know going in is that it’s a horror film where five friends go out to a cabin in the woods. Just like all horror films, that relaxing weekend full of swimming and sexing doesn’t go as planned. Whedon fans will be happy to see several likable actors from his previous work Dollhouse like Amy Acker and Fran Kranz. The Cabin in the Woods also stars Chris Hemsworth, although interestingly enough it was actu… Continue reading

The Bleakest of Black Christmas (2006)
…is. It’s horrifying all right, but not the kind of horror people enjoy in horror films. We’re talking multiple forms of child abuse. This shit happens in real life- I don’t want to see it played out on the screen before me. Nope, it makes Billy too real and sympathetic, cutting down on the fun horror movie scares and just leaving you feeling demoralized and distressed. The film packs a heavy punch when it comes to the cast but misses completely,… Continue reading
