Movie Match: Demolition Man Vs. She’s the Man
…s Vinnie Jones and…well, that’s all that matters. So Demolition Man throws Rambo and Blade at us. That’s a lot of beef wrapped up into one sandwich. And don’t forget the FBI agent who joined a beauty pageant, Sandra Bullock. And then there’s these guys: Dennis Leary, Jack Black, Benjamin Bratt, Glenn Shadix, and Rob Schneider. Demolition Man had me at Stallone. Round 3: Musical montages! She’s the Man may be down but it is not out yet. This flick… Continue reading

Samaritan (2022): Good, But Not Great, Samaritan
…sure up to the repeatedly-watchable greats of Stallone’s long career, your Rambos and Rockys and Stop or My Mom Will Shoots, but it seemed like everyone involved knew what they were making and went for it wholeheartedly. Action Rating: 3 Cheesy One Liners, out of 5 Disclaimer: Just because I am the Action Flick Chick and love action movies does not mean I condone real life violence in any way. Everyone has their own shit to deal with, be nice to e… Continue reading
AFC Classic: Gremlins 2: The New Batch!
…parody moment is when Gizmo “gets pushed too far” and turns into a Mogwai Rambo. Heck, the thing even breaks down the fourth wall be having Leonard “Movie Man” Maltin giving a negative review of the first Gremlins flick, which of course the Gremlins don’t really care for, so they tie him up with torn up film. The Gremlins themselves are like very bad children, laughing hysterically at each other’s misfortune…and their own. One Gremlin is chugging… Continue reading

The characters are quarantined in an apartment building filled with an ever-growing number of disease infected, zombie-ish people. In that situation, escape is so not an option. Trying to get away from the zombies when locked in an apartment building is like eating green bologna. You… Continue reading
