The Warrior’s Way (2010): Ninjas vs. Cowboys vs. Jang Dong-gun!
…vs. Cowboys vs. Jang Dong-gun! And I wholeheartedly approve! The Warrior’s Way completely took me by surprise! I was expecting a rather serious martial arts film showing off a lot of traditional stuntwork and martial arts goodness. What did I get? A film that didn’t take itself seriously at all and was heavy with horribly cheesy/awesome CGI. Because I was expecting something different, I was initially bored by the CG-heavy fighting; however, The W… Continue reading
Interview with David Leitch (Matrix, 300, Wolverine, Bourne Ultimatum, Confessions of an Action Star) Pt. 1
…ve visual effects. So I think its great that the reason the movies like Ong-Bak and D-13 (District 13), where you just see people with raw talent and physicality that can do amazing things and they just put a camera on them. I think that will never go out of style for action junkies. But for the masses, I think stunts are definitely going in a different direction. AFC: Well, I definitely prefer the real stuff myself. So which film was the most phy… Continue reading

…, 120 degrees. IronE: Hahaha. Yes. BRUTAL! And I’m from Atlanta…and did two-a-days (twice a day) football practices fully padded during the summer for over a decade in the Georgia heat. That heat was UNBELIEVABLE!!!! AFC: What’s your favorite episode so far? IronE: Although, I love them all but episode 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 was probably my favorite because there were several action scenes (hehehehe). AFC: Were you a fan of the comic or of zombie ente… Continue reading

Rob Zombie’s Halloween II 2009 (Spoiler Free!)
…flick starts off with a bang. In the beginning, Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor-Compton) is running from Michael in the hospital setting while he is killing freaking everyone. She does manage to escape but I won’t tell you how. So then, Laurie spends the whole movie having awful nightmares until she meets up with Michael again for the final showdown. Halloween II had a lot of action…a lot of murders. It also made me jump a few times so I am going to s… Continue reading

All Request December: Ninja Assassin (2009)
…ng and you suck so you don’t get another guess. The answer is a freakin’ 10-year-old kid! I was in the theater with a woman who had brought a kid who was 10 at the oldest. She brought a kid to see one of the bloodiest and goriest films of all time! WTF? I’m still marveling at that judgment call. Wait, if you really think about it…. maybe that’s the ultimate test to an awesome movie. If a woman is willing to ruin a child’s innocence and splatter hi… Continue reading
