Lost Boys: The Thirst (2010) is Here!
…irst! When a writer of romantic vampire novels’ brother (Felix Mosse) goes missing, she (Tanit Phoenix) suspects real vampires are to blame and turns to Edgar (Corey Feldman) for help in getting him back. However, vampires have devised with a new way to convert humans by handing out vampire blood at parties but telling everyone it some kind of drug. So Edgar turns to his brother Alan (Jamison Newlander) for help. Feldman explained at New York Comi… Continue reading

Resident Evil (2002)
…rlier. Alice is looking at her zombified husband and says sinisterly, “I’m missing you already” as she swings an axe, crushing her zombie husband’s skull. Nothing is holding her back. Best Explosion: Sadly, no explosions in this one. Although the ultra-licker monster at the end burns quite nicely. Best Narrow Escape: Some of the rescue team walk down a very long and narrow hallway. Suddenly both ends close and they are trapped. The others are tryi… Continue reading

Interview: Amber Hale, Supermodel (Zuda Competitor)
…ts all of us who don’t understand ourselves and who are searching for that missing element to explain our existence. We’ll see Amber’s “abilities” come out more. Although she’s not artificial in the sense of cyborgs with mechanical parts that enhance their physical prowess, she does have some pretty cool biological attributes that are revealed throughout the storyline. Daren: We’ll get clues as to what’s really happening at Kael Thane’s clinics an… Continue reading
Interview with David Leitch (Part 2)
…joyed it. David: Oh good. There’s actually the distributors edit, and it’s missing a quirky sort of narrator character who navigates you through Frank’s world. He got cut out. I’m kind of partial to him, I miss him. He’s a cool guy. AFC: Was there anything else that got cut out that you wish was left in? David: We had so much footage at the end that Brad and I had trouble coming to an edit that was an hour and 50 minutes. Everyone wanted it down t… Continue reading
Dance of the Dead (2008) – Wired Like a Crackhead Drinking Red Bull
…mbies explode up from graves and then just start running after you without missing a step! Having trouble? All you have to do is watch Dance of the Dead because that’s what happens. It looks great. They actually had stunt people being pulled up from the ground. They timed it all just right so that they could hit the ground running. Very impressive and memorable, I don’t think I’ve seen that in any other zombie flick. Dance of the Dead is funny, en… Continue reading

Inglourious Basterds (2009): Bad Time to Be a Nazi
…ant and not really miss anything. However, you do have to be careful about missing the action scenes. They are few and far in between, you might just miss it if you blink. I do love how Inglourious Basterds gives us an alternate outcome for WWII. I like how a group of Jewish Americans are the ones killing the Nazis. Spoiler Alert: And I love how they kill Hitler and all of the major baddies in Germany at the end. That was great. Inglourious Baster… Continue reading

Red Dawn (1984): Avenging Before the Avengers Made It Cool
…bans Best Line: “If I hide, they’ll never find me.” Um, I think someone is missing the point here. Best Kill: A lot of the kills were just by gun shot, but Jennifer Grey put a little extra spin on it when, in an early fight, she tries to defend herself with a powerful machine gun. She pulls the trigger but she doesn’t have a good grip, so the gun is spraying bullets all over the place with Grey holding onto the back of it, still managing to kill t… Continue reading
