Piranha 3-D (2010) – Boobs vs. Boom
…know they’re killer piranha, it’s called Piranha 3-D for poop’s sake! Just attack already!” However, when the foul little fishies do finally attack it is delightfully gruesome and meaty. Unless you absolutely love watching movies in 3-D, I’d wait for this one to come out on DVD, if you ever watch it. Even the lady who sold me my ticket was trying to convince me not to watch the movie, which should tell you something about how not awesome the film… Continue reading

G.I. Joe: Retaliation Takes a Dookie on Duke
…the remaining Joes to get revenge- the fact that the President ordered an attack on their unit, and killed damn near everyone, is enough fuel to want revenge. Three Joes survive the attack at the beginning, and it’s absolutely ridiculous that Duke dies and gets replaced with Flint (D.J. Cotrona), an uninteresting character that adds nothing special. If Duke had survived, the audience would have been a little more invested in what was happening, a… Continue reading

SyFy Original Movie: Independence Day-Saster (2013)
…ical aliens in this flick- these otherworldly beings are robot drone balls attacking the Earth vis a vis a crapload of CG lasers. Independence Day-Saster stars Ryan Merriman (Final Destination 3), Tom Everett Scott (Southland), Emily Holmes (Snakes on a Plane), and Andrea Brooks (Supernatural). Sci-fi original films always pack in the shlocky fun and Independence Day-Saster is no different. It doesn’t mess around- the alien balls attack early in t… Continue reading
Olympus Has Fallen (2013)
…he President (Aaron Eckhart) and other super important officials are taken hostage, and there’s only one good man left standing on the inside- Mike Banner (Gerard Butler). A “Die Hard in/on a…” movie lives and dies on the strength of its lead, and Gerard Butler shines as “screw your rules and protocols” action man Banner. Butler has plenty of experience as a kick-ass lead (This is Sparta! will probably be on his gravestone) and brings ultra-badass… Continue reading

Which Movie Would Drive Alien Invaders Back Home?
Which movie do you send to alien invaders to show them why they shouldn’t attack Earth? While I’m on the road, check out these answers people gave me on Facebook and twitter: Russ Penning: Uwe Boll’s Alone in the Dark or anything by Uwe Boll for that matter or the Hannah Montana movie haha (sarcasm if u couldnt tell aliens would attack us for sure if they saw those) Evan Zebley: “The Invisible Thread” which is less of a movie and more of a specia… Continue reading
