National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)
…g to have the hap-hap-happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny f***ing Kaye and when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight he’s going to find the jolliest bunch of a-holes on this side of the nuthouse.” Worst Judgment Call: Clark makes a lot of bad judgment calls throughout the film. He gets up on the roof with strings of lights tied to his hands and feet which then ended up with him falling off the roof. I t… Continue reading

12 Rounds (2009): Such a Bromantic Action Movie
…ing villains (sometimes) and eating hypothetical dicks for liberty, he was Danny Fisher, a police officer caught in a bad situation when the international terrorist he caught comes a-knockin’ for revenge. 12 Rounds of revenge, to be exact. 12 Rounds is exactly what it seems- an action movie where the plot matters minimally and the action happens maximally. Director Renny Harlin set out to make something that isn’t another “ glossy, polished Hollyw… Continue reading

Review: Syfy Original Film- Bigfoot!
…ut this film that raises it above Arachnoquake is that it stars ‘70s icons Danny Bonaduce (The Partridge Family) and Barry Williams (The Brady Bunch) as onscreen rivals, where one is trying to save Bigfoot and the other is trying to kill him. Alice Cooper also makes a guest appearance where he (spoiler alert) gets kicked to death by Bigfoot. Bigfoot is another winner from Syfy, placing second on my list out of the four films. It’s full of campy fu… Continue reading

Dallas Comic Con 2012: Summer Glau Talks Firefly, Terminator, Knights of Badassdom, and More!
…dassdom, with her and a group of people LARPing, also starring Steve Zahn, Danny Pudi, Peter Dinklage, and several others. She said filming Knights of Badassdom was “the craziest summer camp experience I never had and never thought I would have.” She described it as a “fantasy gone wrong thriller” that is hysterical, “I’ve never laughed that hard in my life.” This would mark the first comedy she’s worked on and reported having a blast doing it. Wh… Continue reading

Coming Attraction: Your Highness!
…tough warrior princess in Your Highness, which also stars James Franco and Danny McBride. Prince Fabious (Franco) goes on a mission to rescue his bride (Zooey Deschanel) who has been kidnapped. He is accompanied by his good for nothing brother, Thadeous (McBride) and kick ass Isabel (Portman). Your Highness is a comedy adventure, so it may not have loads of action, but looks pretty good anyway. And who doesn’t love these cast members!?! It will be… Continue reading

Coming Attraction: Edge of Darkness (2010)
Edge of Darkness stars Mel Gibson, Ray Winstone, Danny Huston, and Bojana Novakovic . It looks like we’ve got ourselves another revenge flick, folks! This time Gibson plays Thomas Craven, a man investigating the murder of his beloved daughter, who uncovers other secrets and conspiracies along the way. There’s nothing like a murdered child to really send a parent into crazy, revenge mode and kick a lot of ass, so I’m hoping this won’t let me down… Continue reading
