G4TV’s Attack of the Show! The Suspense Ends

Kevin’s AOTS co-host Olivia Munn appeared sporadically on G4’s entertainment news program during the weeks before July’s San Diego Comic-Con International because she filmed a pilot for a sitcom called Perfect Couples, which NBC then picked up. Olivia said she would do both shows for as long as possible, but only made one weary appearance right after Comic-Con and has not been on the show ever since. In fact, they have scarcely mentioned her in that time. A series of guest co-hosts like AOTS Feed reader Alison Haislip and X-Play co-host Morgan Webb along with newcomers Carrie Keagan, Jessica Chobot, and more. During this time, Olivia went to work for Comedy Central’s comedy-news program The Daily Show instead of appearing on AOTS. After a week’s break about a month ago, AOTS switched its co-hosting strategy and began bringing in fresh blood like Milynn Sarley (“Interview: Milynn the Gamer Chick (Team Unicorn, Attack of the Show!”) and a few other guest co-hosts.

Right after NBC announced in mid-November what Perfect Couples‘ place would be in the spring line-up, a flurry of activity fired up at G4. With the first season fate of Olivia’s new sitcom established, G4TV could proceed.

So what’s the big announcement? People have been speculating like crazy. Although other guesses have come forth (e.g., “AOTS and X-Play will merge,” “AOTS is getting cancelled” – the latter of which Kevin has refuted), there is ONE big question that fans “have wanted to know for a while” and which has held viewers in suspense: Who will co-host Attack of the Show?

NHL20: Personally I think the new cohost will either be Allison or someone we haven’t heard of before. Think about it. Munn came out of nowhere to become the female host, it wouldn’t be a total surprise if this also happened in 2010.
