Everybody had better stock up on sleeping pills while they can before A Nightmare on Elm Street comes out because Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley) is Freddy Kreuger and you won’t be able to sleep after seeing this one. Now, some of you may think that you shouldn’t go to sleep because that’s how he gets you. However, just listen for a minute, as scary as it may be…it’s not real, so you can go to sleep.
A Nightmare on Elm Street comes out on April 30, 2010. This is yet another remake. This time the remake is of Wes Craven’s 1984 film with the same name. Seriously! Come on people, come out with some original work. I’m sure there are lots of people out there with good movie ideas. I mean, I personally have an idea for a movie about a girl with a bunny on her head who fights terrorists to rescue her kidnapped puppy. Who wouldn’t want to watch that? How about giving that movie a chance? Anyway, this flick looks like it can definitely give you a scare and make you jump/not want to fall asleep. And of course, they had to include that creepy little kid rhyme. Check out the trailer below.
This is the Action Flick Chick, and you’ve just been kicked in the ass!
Freddy Kreuger scared me as a kid/tween, but in a good way! That was when I was brave enough to watch all those horror films, now I prefer funny stuff like Zombieland and Jennifer's Body. Those movies I can take. If I ever see the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street it will be on DVD, in the day, with a bunch of other people.
There are so many remakes coming out in 2010 (I've counted 10 so far, mostly 80's from Red Dawn to Footloose) it's unbelieveable. At least the trailer for Nightmare looks okay. I might revisit them all before this comes out, or at least 1-3.
