The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe (2008)

Lost Boys: The Tribe is basically The Lost Boys: Now With Boobs! Lost Boys I and II are so similar that you should rewind Lost Boys and watch it again instead of watching the second one.

It was so much fun last time I thought I would enlighten you with another verse. Once again this song is everywhere throughout the movie.

On the plus side, this film dances around being full-on softcore porn here and there, as there are several scenes of some major nudity. So for all you fellas, and girls who appreciate a nice body, yay for boobies!

For The Lost Boys I was sad over how long it took ultra-cool Corey Feldman to appear, a grotesque 13 minutes. Well, in this one it takes an unholy 33 minutes before Edgar Frog makes his triumphant return. Come on people. Wake up and smell the Feldman roses. He is the real star of the movie. We should be seeing him from the get go.

In The Tribe, the vampire gang of guys is playing the undead version of Jackass: The Home Game. They are constantly stabbing each other, disemboweling each other, and generally putting a damper on the evening trying to see who can get the other one better. Not too much of a damper, though. I mean, these guys are pretty much immortal outside of the traditional ways to kill ‘em.

The lesson everyone should take home from these movies is, when out with friends, before drinking anything you should ask yourself one question: If I drink this, will I turn into a vampire and try to kill my friends?
If the answer is yes, maybe just have a virgin margarita instead. This movie is fun in its own ways. It does have a little bit more vampire action.

Guys getting killed (Bad guys): Vampires

Best Line: “Build a man a fire; he’s warm for a day. Light a man on fire, he’s warm for the rest of his life.” Corey Feldman right after the head vampire dies. I am just eating this line up with a spoon. I love it.

Best Kill: Chris Emmerson (Tad Hilgenbrink) is fighting one on one with a vampire at the end. There are in an underground work area with lots of tools. A huge two foot drill gets turned on. The vampire tries to push Chris’s face into the rotating drill but he manages to hit the vampire with a rock and get free. The vampire lunges at him. Chris grabs the drill and points it towards the vampire in time for him to stake himself. The drill shakes up the vampire and he spews out blood and turns to mush.

Best Explosion: This can also double as a best kill. The head vampire is about to kill Chris when his sister (Autumn Reeser) stakes the head vampire through the heart. He turns towards her and is about to stake her when Chris decapitates the vampire with a sword. The vampire falls and his whole body burst into flames.

Best Narrow Escape: This is a sexy escape. Chris is making out with a totally hot chick. What he doesn’t know is that she is a vampire. So they are heavily making out and then she starts to get aggressive. He tries to say stop, wait a minute, but she continues to try to make out with him. Then she goes for the neck. He freaks out and throws her off of him. She lands on a set of deer antlers hanging on the wall. They stake her right through the heart. She turns to stone then ash.
