Arnold has not accepted all the roles offered to him. Let’s take a look at some of the roles we could have seen Arnold in.
- Animal Mother in Full Metal Jacket. He decided to do The Running Man instead.
- John McClane in Die Hard. He still gets mentioned in the movie though. One of Bruce Willis’ lines consists of “enough explosives to orbit Arnold Schwarzenegger.”
- Arnold was originally wanted for the part of Kyle Reese in Terminator, but Arnold thought it better to do it his way by letting him play the Terminator. I think everyone can agree that was a great move.
- He was also considered to play the part of the Incredible Hulk but wasn’t tall enough so the part went to Lou Ferrigno.
- Kull the Conqueror originally was named Conan the Conqueror, but Arnold turned down the offer to play Conan.
- Red Sonja was also supposed to have Conan played by Arnold in it but they eventually created another character that was exactly like Conan except the name when Arnold didn’t accept the part.
