Scream 4 (2011) Spoilers Galore!

Here’s what happens: Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has returned to Woodsboro after 10 years to promote the book she wrote about her life. So of course, a new Ghostface pops up and starts killing people. Sidney’s staying with her aunt and teenage cousin, Jill (Emma Roberts), who starts receiving phone calls from Ghostface. One of Jill’s friend gets killed right in front of her face. Sidney tries to help her but it’s too late.

More people die including a couple of cops and Sidney’s publicist. Gale Weathers-Riley (Courteney Cox) is badly injured in a fight with Ghostface and is taken to the hospital. Kirby (Hayden Panettiere), Jill’s best friend, invites a few people over to hang out. One more guy bites the dust before Sidney shows up to try to protect Jill. They all end up separated.

Kirby locks herself in a basement room and is talking to Ghostface, answering horror trivia questions in order to save her friend, Charlie (Rory Culkin), who is duct taped to a chair outside (like the first scene in Scream). She supposedly gets the question right and goes out to set him free. Charlie reveals he is the killer and stabs Kirby in the stomach.

Meanwhile, Sidney is looking for Jill when she is caught and forced into the kitchen of the house. It is then revealed that there are TWO killers, and her sweet little Nancy Drew cousin, Jill, is in fact one of the killers! Jill wants to be famous like Sidney, so she set all of this up to look like her ex-boyfriend, Trevor (Nico Torterella), is the actual killer and she is the sole survivor. Trevor cheated on Jill in the past so she shot him in the dick before blowing his brains out. (Be careful who you cheat on! They might just get revenge.) Jill then stabbed her partner, Charlie, in the heart because she didn’t want to share any attention with another survivor. She stabs Sidney in the stomach and goes on to beat herself up to make it look like she was fighting for her life.

Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette) shows up right after all this happens and takes Jill to the hospital. At the hospital, Jill finds out that Sidney is still alive! She goes to finish her off. They fight. Dewey and Gale figure it out and show up to help. In the end, they distract Jill long enough so that Sidney can charge up the defibrillator paddles and shock Jill’s head, killing her. Sidney also put a bullet in her chest. She has always been a believer of the double tap!

My only question is who is left to try to kill Sidney? There was talk about this being the first of another trilogy. What’s left to do?
