Dance of the Dead (2008) – Wired Like a Crackhead Drinking Red Bull
…ned up! Sounds good! Where’s the nearest graveyard? Dance of the Dead is a zombie movie (I know, you never would have guessed it) and is surprisingly good. It’s an independent movie directed by Gregg Bishop and written by Joe Ballarini. The cast is made up of mostly unknown people who are the same age as their characters, unheard of but true, and that aspect really adds to the believability of the film. There’s a whole mix of good characters in th… Continue reading

Rob Zombie’s Halloween II 2009 (Spoiler Free!)
…. It also made me jump a few times so I am going to say job well done, Rob Zombie. It is exactly what you expect from a slasher movie, lots of gore and a super strong killer that no one can take down but his sister, yet it deviates from the other 1981 Halloween II plot enough to keep it interesting. There were some problems with the lighting of the movie for me, though. It was really dark at times and I had no idea what I was looking at or how ol’… Continue reading

Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004)
…nues with Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Nothing says good old fashioned scary zombie movie like having two hot women kick some zombie ass. This is another of my favorite zombie movies. There are lots of explosions, head shots, and weird zombified animals to keep you entertained. This time the eye candy is two women, Milla Jovovich and Sienna Guillory. As a zombie, I would gladly let one of them take me down, if you know what I mean. After seeing the… Continue reading

…eshV: @actionchick Boondock Saints and Gossip lol… @NickRocketLlama: Every zombie movie I watch. @eyeshine99: @actionchick Boondock, I’d tell ya about it but not sure it’s suitable for small children. @actionchick: Got so many more answers on which movies caused childhood nightmares than which invade dreams in good way. @MovieMoxie: @actionchick Interesting, I don’t think I’ve had films invade either nightmares or dreams, although some used to kee… Continue reading

Inglourious Basterds (Movie Chicks on Action Flicks)
…rprise, this turned out to be more than a “shoot em up” and kill them type movie. Sure, there were those parts (very bloody and violent) but it wasn’t the entire movie.” Site: geekJANE Post: Review: Inglourious Basterds by A. Jane: “This is probably my favorite Tarantino film and thats saying something since I absolutely loved the Kill Bill films and was impressed with his production work with GrindHouse. 12 Rounds (2009): Such a Bromantic Action Movie
…action, the first action sequence lasted close to 10 minutes, and then the movie didn’t let up at friggin’ all until the end. So out of the whole movie there were maybe 17-20 minutes of non-action. That’s freakin’ amazing! Even after the big finale it cut right to the end credits. Seriously, there were about 45 seconds of epilogue and then BOOM end credits. It didn’t show them twenty years in the future or even the next day. Things explode, then e… Continue reading
