Coming Attraction: The Woman in Black (2012)
…The Woman in Black. Very different from the Harry Potter films, this is a horror film in which a lawyer by the name of Arthur Kipps (Daniel Muggle-humping Radcliffe), visits the house of a recently deceased client to get his affairs in order. Little did he know that the house is haunted by a ghostly woman in black, and not the friendly Casper kind of ghost either. See the horror that is The Woman in Black in theaters February 3, 2012. Dylan Dog: Dead of Night (2011) – Dead on Arrival?
…sucks as an action film! Don’t get confused by its label of ‘action comedy horror’ film, because it ain’t action, and it’s not all that much of a comedy horror. It’s mostly a paint-by-the-numbers detective story. Dylan Dog (Brandon Routh) is a private investigator of sorts who is well known to the undead creatures of New Orleans. When Elizabeth’s (Anita Briem) father is killed by a werewolf, she calls on Dylan Dog and his assistant Marcus (Sam Hun… Continue reading

Jennifer’s Body (2009): The Not-So-Pretty Side of Megan Fox
…ttempts at humor in the movie really wasn’t the style of humor I like in a horror film and that made a lot of the dialogue just seem weird and out of place. I did find some of it amusing, though, particularly the open harshness of Jennifer. She was not seen as a nice person, and that’s just because she had enough gumption to say all the things everyone else was thinking anyway. Like when the teacher was talking about how tragic it was that so-and-… Continue reading
