Which Iconic Film Characters Should Fight Zombies?

…es, how ’bout Dah Terminator? Alexander Wolfe: Batman, obviously. Mitchell Ivey: Moses. What do you think his Turn Undead ability would be? Nick Turk: Just recently rewatched “Escape From New York” so I’d have to say the mighty Snake Plisskin … then maybe throw in a Kurt Russell triple tagger with Jack Burton and RJ MacReady … Robert J. Peterson: Hard to argue with Nick’s reasoning. I think MacReady would make a capable zombie fighter. And you’d n… Continue reading

Must Watch Movies from the ’80s: Big Trouble in Little China (1986)!

…ah! One of my favorite films from the ’80s is Big Trouble in Little China. Kurt Russell stars as Jack Burton, a truck driver who finds himself in the middle of underground Chinatown fighting an ancient Chinese sorcerer, Lo Pan (James Hong). Burton is on a mission to help his friend, Wang Chi (Dennis Dun), save his girlfriend from Lo Pan…and to get his truck back that was also stolen by Lo Pan. This is a crazy movie that you really have to pay atte… Continue reading

Texas Frightmare Weekend: Robert Englund Hams it Up!

…. Englund said the director he enjoyed the most after Wes Craven was Chuck Russell, director of Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. Russell brought in the mask, had no budget, and was the first guy on the set and the last to leave. Even though Englund thought the first one was the scariest and the seventh film (Wes Craven’s New Nightmare) was his personal favorite, he thought if you polled the fans world wide the favorite would be Dream War… Continue reading

Which Star Wars Film Makes the Best Action Movie? (thanks to David Reddick, Nathan Hamill, and all who took part)

…is my choice for a good action film. Episode 6: Return of the Jedi (1983) Russell Allen: Empire is my favorite overall but Return of the Jedi had more action. Greg Lemons: I’ve got to agree with Russell, and it kills me to say it, but Return of the Jedi. Its pretty much non stop from the Rancor fight all the way through the end. There are probably three slow parts. Intro Jabba stuff, Yoda dying, and Luke and Leia emofest 1983. The rest is pretty m… Continue reading
