Evil Things is an independent horror film written and directed by Dominic Perez. It follows 5 friends on a road trip to spend a weekend in the country away from the hustle and bustle of New York City. The importance of this film is that it is now considered evidence. Dum dum dum! The 5 friends disappeared without a trace and no one knew what happened…until now.
This is a Blair Witch style film, where one person is filming their whole trip including what happened in the last hours of their lives. Who knows, maybe they’re still alive. You’ll just have to watch to find out. The friends start off being stalked by a van, so I have come to call this film “Is That That Van?” The film is a slow starter, but what do you expect when you are being stalked by a van? It’s not like it can just follow you anywhere, you kinda have to stick to the roads and parking lots. The ending does give you a little bit of a creep out factor, though. Check out the trailer to see if “Is That That Van?” suits you!
This is the Action Flick Chick, and you’ve just been kicked in the ass!

Yeah, I got a screener for this one and reviewed it. I liked the little “FBI evidence” bag and faux documents it came with but the movie ain’t all that. Doesn’t even hold a candle to “The Poughkeepsie Tapes”… http://www.smalltowncritic.com/2009/05/20/evil-things-dark-side-reviews-another-found-footage-horror-film/
I would give it a watch. It’s always good to see independents. Too often the projects backed by studios are a disappointment.
