May Mega Mayhem: Batman!

Day #12: Batman

General Thoughts: Nope, not the smash hit Batman: Arkham Asylum, I’m talking about the NES Batman game based on the Michael Keaton/Jack Nicholson movie from the 80’s, a game so old my grandma could outrun it. Much like a grandma, the game is still fun to visit every now and then. Playing it does show me a disturbing trend, though, where it’s way harder for me to go back and play old, simple Nintendo games than it is to pick up new, complicated Xbox games. I’ve gotten used to the extra controls, the extra options, the extra weapons, the extra save points, and the extra movement. I find myself trying to hit RB or X and it’s just not there. It does pose a great challenge though.

31 Minutes of Play: I made it through the first level only to get donkey punched by the second level.

Craziest Moment: Either there aren’t any crazy moments in this game, or I didn’t make it far enough to see them. You tell me.

Fun Rating: 1 Batarang, out of 5!
