The Chick wants your clips. She has an awful lot of online friends, a number of whom have specifically said you’d like to collaborate, and she wants to bring people together for some fun.
Send short videos either by email to chick@actionflickchick.com or by posting them online and telling us where to get them.
1. Ask for tips on how to deal with specific zombie issues.
2. Promote yourself. Don’t belabor the point, but when you introduce yourself, make sure people know where they can find more of you.
* “I’m Rachel, filmgurl11 on twitter and YouTube. My boyfriend might be dating a zombie on the side. How can I tell?”
* “Nick Langley, rocketllama.com. My buddy Mark here from Markos Corner got bit.” In the background, zombie hands grope at the air through window bars.
* “Help! Zombies have surrounded the ping-pong ball factory and I’m here all alone!” She has no time for introductions, but blood-splattered sign in background says KAREN ~ REELARTSY.COM.
Alternately, you might send video from a Zombie Walk you attended with text at the bottom of the screen: footage courtesy of Lost Zombies.
3. Break no laws. Among other things, this means nobody under 18 without confirmable parental consent. Ask about that in advance.
Tips: The shorter, the better. The sooner, the better. Try to keep the language mild so everyone involved will be free to repost or embed wherewhere they please.
The Chick has a variety of plans on how she might answer, maybe with the help of a surprise guest or two. Demonstrations are entirely possible. You’ll see.
Should people send clips with non-zombie questions instead, Action Flick Chick will certainly consider those as well, although if used, they’d likely appear in a separate video.
The Action Flick Chick owns the final product. By submitting your part, you assign her the rights to sample or otherwise incorporate into her own video, which will be made available online for free. No one receives remuneration beyond the sheer fun of participation or self promotion.
I love this short by the Film Badgers with appearances by my friend Andre “Black Nerd” Meadows and others from Reelz Channel’s Movie Mob crew. It’s smart, it’s fun, it’s really well done, and yet it’s something very simple to do.
