Hot off Machete, Danny Trejo joins Erin Cummings (Bitch Slap, Spartacus: Blood & Sand) to star in the edgy indie thriller Tarantula.
Tarantula tells the story of a mysterious female biker named Gabby (Cummings) who escapes from a satanic biker gang to start a new life in Sweet Home, Colorado, while unbeknownst to her, she is being trailed by her nemesis, a man from her past life (Trejo). Two of a King Productions producers John and Jennifer Kersey have also signed veteran film and television director Oley Sassone (Mutant X, Xena: Warrior Princess) to direct. Sassone says of the screenplay, “Tarantula reads like it has a Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez feel to it.” Tarantula, set to start shooting December, 2010, will be distributed by UK-based Stealth Media Group.
