First Look: Anne Hathaway as Catwoman Selina Kyle!
…e’ll see how Anne Hathaway compares to past Catwomen: Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, Eartha Kitt, Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry. (No, Halle’s character wasn’t Selina, but she was a Catwoman. For that matter, Pfeiffer has been the only one of these Catwomen to have been called Selina Kyle.) Terminator: Salvation (2009) – Ready to Pull the Trigger
…squad, all of whom are kickers of asses: Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), Kyle Reese (Anton Yelchin), and Blair Williams (Moon Bloodgood). The fate of the world is in good hands. T4 is full of action and some surprises, but it left me feeling like there should be more to the movie, like some things got edited that would explain some other stuff. Oh well, I guess that’s what the blu-ray ULTIMATE TERMINATION edition is for, eh? Overall it is a very… Continue reading

Stand Up Guys: Interview with Director Fisher Stevens
…ere… because I was a fan of ‘Early Edition.’ Any plans to collaborate with Kyle Chandler? You both seem to have found steady success in both TV and film. Stevens: Kyle Chandler has turned into a fine actor and I would love to work with him again someday. But not on a sequel to ‘Early Edition.’ Pacino and Walked are not trying to be funny — the comedy comes from the situations. Did you instruct them to play it more naturally? Stevens: Yeah, it wa… Continue reading

This Means War (Guest Review)
…movies. Plus three points: one for former queen of the romantic comedies, Reese Witherspoon, making a move to take back her crown. The other two points are for Chelsea Handler’s character stealing every scene. Over the years we’ve seen that it’s hard to surprise audiences – films, especially romantic comedies, are amazingly predictable. Not going to lie, this movie is too. BUT if you can ease up and not go in expecting Shakespeare, you might like… Continue reading
