Most Dangerous Vampire?
…to say Spike from BtVS, and then considered the facts: Sure, he killed two Slayers, but Buffy thwarted him nearly every time. Even when Spike had good plans, he ended up being ruined by his passions. Then he fell in love with Buffy, got ensouled, and sacrificed himself to stop the First. Not even going to go into his time in the “Angel” series. Actually, if you look at Spike’s entire arc, he was dangerous, only to have his dangerousness taken away… Continue reading
Most Annoying Buffy the Vampire Slayer Character Death?
…tion Flick Chick (@ActionChick on Twitter) asked, “Most annoying Buffy the Vampire Slayer character death?” A couple of them came up a lot, including one played by an actress Katrina interviewed at the end of WonderCon (an interview you can read at MTV.com), but plenty accept even that fan-distressing death on the basis that it provided a strong impetus for other stories. Really tardy SPOILER ALERT to anyone who hasn’t finished watching all 7 seas… Continue reading

Buffy the Vampire Slayer reBOOt!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer ReBOOt! I am definitely a Buffy The Vampire Slayer fan and was horrified to find out that Warner Bros. has decided to reboot the original movie. It may not sound so bad right now; however, this reboot is not going to be created by Joss Whedon, the mastermind who brought us Buffy in the first place. Nope, the new Buffy film will be written by an unknown Whit Anderson, who has no writing experience that I can find. Reported… Continue reading

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV Never Saw
Riding on the success of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the television series based on the comedic motion picture which had been based on Joss Whedon’s more serious script, 20th Century Fox decided monster killing would perfectly suit the Saturday morning Fox Kids cartoon crowd and greenlit Buffy the Animated Series in 2002. Jeph Loeb, the comic book writer who later created NBC’s Heroes, was set to share executive producer chores with Whedon. Loeb to… Continue reading

Chicks Who Don’t Want Flowers: Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
…idn’t want to be a heroine, but she took on the responsibility despite that. Buffy goes from being a superficial cheerleader to a hardened, resourceful warrior who had to make all kinds of sucky sacrifices in her own life so that the world may survive. If you haven’t seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series, I highly recommend it. A big thanks goes out to Whedon for creating such an awesome female heroine role model. Also check out Action F… Continue reading

Is That Who I Think It Is: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)!
Remember the 1992 movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer? I, myself, love that movie. Of course, the television series is way better in every way, but the film has some charming qualities, one of which being the cast, a combination of great 90’s actors like Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry and a few then-unknown faces, such as… Hilary Swank. Seeing Hilary Swank in Buffy made my jaw drop. She plays a prissy “valley girl” who is all about fashion and being po… Continue reading
