NAMCO BANDAI Games Re-Invents Coin-Op Classic Xevious as High-Powered Webcomic Re-imagining of 1982 legendary vertical scrolling shooter to appear on ShiftyLook this March TOKYO, JAPAN – February 24, 2012 – NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc., a subsidiary of NAMCO BANDAI Holdings Inc. (TYO: 7832), announced today the upcoming addition of Xevious to its ShiftyLook IP cultivation and community platform. At its upcoming launch in March, ShiftyLook will feature webcomics re-imagining Xevious, Sky Kid and other NAMCO BANDAI Games titles. ShiftyLook can be accessed at shiftylook.com.

The new Xevious webcomic, a story of love and war in the midst of alien invasion set over the skies of South America, will be created for ShiftyLook by Cryptozoic Entertainment. Xevious brings together the talents of comic book industry veterans Mike Costa (writing) and Mike Norton (pencils) and will be released twice weekly on its regular schedule.

Xevious’ Mike Norton and Mike Costa will be appearing alongside Sky Kid’s Jim Zub and other talent from the ShiftyLook launch titles at the Video Game Characters Reborn! NAMCO BANDAI Games Presents ShiftyLook panel at WonderCon in Anaheim, California on March 17, 2012 (2:30PM to 3:30PM, Anaheim Convention Center Room 208AB) and ShiftyLook Launch Party (7:00PM to 10:00PM, Hilton Anaheim Hotel Avalon Ballroom).

Webcomics on ShiftyLook will be available worldwide in English, free of charge, through web browsers for PC, Mac, iOS and Android. Participation in the ShiftyLook community is exclusively through BANDAI NAMCO ID, the NAMCO BANDAI Group’s official user ID system, which may or not be available in a particular region.
