Are there truly no more stories left in the universe to tell? Men in Black III not only is a sequel coming out 10 years after the last iteration in the series, but also features a highly predictable story line that we’ve seen over and over already. In present day, a murderous alien called Boris the Animal (Jermaine Clement) escapes from a prison on the moon and travels back in time to the 1960s to kill Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) before he can imprison Boris. Agent J (Will Smith) wakes up one day to find that Agent K no longer exists in his world. Figuring out Boris’ plan to kill K must have succeeded, J travels back in time to stop Boris from killing K.
MIB III did not deliver as an action flick or a comedy. The movie’s attempts at humor fell flat, only managing to make me crack a smile at a couple of points during the film, and on the action side of things the story held no thrills or surprises to it. It was a powerfully mediocre film, one that’s nicely paced but without ever feeling like it’s moving anywhere. The biggest positive I have to mention about the film is that Josh Brolin did a great job channeling a young Tommy Lee Jones.
Action Rating: 2 ½ Will Smith “Dayums” out of Five
This is the Action Chick, and you’ve just been kicked in the ass!
I went to see the Chernobyl Diaries instead. It sucked…alot! Men in Black 3 still has to be better. I am not a fan of the MIB series but I do like Will Smith. Can’t wait for I Am Legend 2…even though he kind of died in the first movie (in the alternate ending on the dvd he lives).

I just kept waiting for more scenes with young K and Boris.
It felt like a bunch of amusing clips crudely tied together with a lackluster script.
