May Mega Mayhem: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

Day #4: Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom

Overall Thoughts: Striving to bring you a diverse roster of games, I decided that the 2-D fighting game Tatsunoko vs. Capcom would be next on my list. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is a lot like Street Fighter, so if you’re familiar with that kind of game you’ll kind of know what this one is about.  I’ve got to say that it is pretty fun despite me not knowing what the heck was going on a lot of the time. It’s for the Wii but it allows use of the Game Cube controller, which is good because using the classic Game Cube controller was much easier and less confusing for me. It wasn’t too long before I was throwing hadoukens and blocking attacks right and left! Outside of the occasional hadouken, I was mostly just pushing random buttons like a noob and hoping for the best. I did have a real life opponent who went very easy on me for a little while. I got tired of being a charity case and told him to play 100%. Then I started to die. A LOT.

31 Minutes of Play: I played as a variety of characters, ranging from robots to ‘roided out dudes to ugly faced weird dudes in blue suits. Overall my favorite was definitely Ryu, who was the only character I recognized. I also love throwing hadokens, so don’t be surprised if the next time you run into me I greet you with a HADOOOOKEN!

Craziest Moment While Playing: I played as a robot shooting laser beams at a little girl armed with a broom. I think that about sums it up.

Fun Rating: 4 Hadoukens, out of 5!
