James Cameron’s Sanctum: Making people with claustrophophia freak out for an hour and a half! This film is set in an underwater cave, which is pretty much as remote as it gets. A group of explorers decide it’s time to investigate the least accessible cave on Earth and run into a lot of trouble and water along the way. Sounds like a great idea! Among the explorers are Richard Roxburgh, Ioan Grufford, Alice Parkinson, and Rhys Wakefield. Sanctum will be released in 3D just in case you thought watching this in 2D wouldn’t freak you out enough. Can you handle it? Bring your oxygen tanks and dive in to Sanctum on February 4, 2011.

Damn…I kinda wanna watch it, but if I get scared I’m blaming you for making me! 🙂 February 4th, well…at least I have the time to recover from any potential psychological drama it might cause before I have to go back to work.
Sanctum?! *facepalm* they think the public is not only stupid but sufferers of memory loss. “The Cave” came out a few years ago! And then Olatunde tried to copy it by making “The Cavern”. THEN, we had “The Descent”.
It’s kind of redundant to make another cave film.
Looks good, but banking too much on the attachment of James Cameron to its promotion. However, I think I would like to see this in IMAX as I did with Avatar.
Sanctum would have worked well as one of those novelty 3D eye-candy shorts, but I didn’t care about any of the thinly drawn characters or anything that happened to them. -Shaun Cooper
