Coming Attraction: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010)

Hold the phone! This is ground breaking news: Walt Disney Pictures is about to release their 4^th film ever to have a PG-13 rating, and that film is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time! The MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) has given the film a PG-13 rating because of the intense sequences of violence. Now, that gets my blood boiling with excitement over the idea of all that Disney-sanctioned violence, but I also know that my definition of intense violence may be a little different from the MPAA’s and Disney’s definitions. So I shall see how intense it really is when it comes out May 28.

Adapted from the popular video game series, Prince of Persia stars Jake Gyllenhaal is our Prince Dastan in Prince of Persia, who joins forces with the Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) to keep the baddies from getting the Sands of Time, which is a gift from the gods that can control time. Duh! I bet, by succeeding in their mission, they will somehow save the world from a monstrous disaster. Sounds good to me! Click picture to watch the trailer!
