- Hercules in New York was Arnold Schwarzenegger’s debut in film.
- He took the role after a friend, Reg Park, urged him to do so. Park played Hercules in several other films.
- Arnold’s agent said that he had previous stage experience in order to land Arnold the role of Hercules. The people didn’t know that Arnold’s stage experience consisted of the stages of bodybuilding competitions.
- Arnold’s voice was dubbed in Hercules in New York. It was re-released later with Arnold’s real voice.
