With San Diego Comic-Con International fresh on people’s minds, the Action Flick Chick covered Dallas Comic-Con to see what ticket holders, comics creators, and actors had to say about the advantages and disadvantages of a smaller, more personal con.
Some of her interviews and other reports from DCC will come sometime in September, after she fulfills some related obligations from a secret mission there. You’ll learn more about that soon enough. In the meantime, though, peruse her Facebook album with pics from the con. (We assure you that’s really Dean Stockwell in one photo and not a Dean Stockwell statue stolen from a wax museum.)
One of the cosplayers (Dark Phoenix, seen below with Quantum Leap and Battlestar Galactica: The Plan star Dean Stockwell) sent us a link to her Flickr account with many more pics from Dallas Comic-Con, including at least one of the Action Flick Chick although I’m not convinced that the look Gallifreyk-9 labeled “Scared” on the Chick really looks like fear to me. When have you ever known our gal to get scared, hmm?
NOTE TO THOSE OF YOU WHOM THE CHICK INTERVIEWED AT DCC: We’re told that the material will most likely air in early September. When, how, or if at all is out of our hands now. Check here for updates.

it is good to know that some people are still doing this kind of event…
and its intention is also very clear to let people know the possible advantage and disadvantage
of smaller and more personal con.
this event that they held really looks cool…
Hey there! I was one of the costumers that you interviewed (The Dazzler in the blue body suit, big yellow star burst). Thanks for keeping us updated on stuff, just wondering though – if it doesn’t make it on (the air), are you still going to post the video of the interviews on here? Keep up the awesome reviews!! I can’t wait for Zombieland!!
After we see what makes it on the air, then we’ll ask to see if we can post the rest. What got recorded on their camera technically belongs to them until they tell the Chick otherwise. In the meantime, you can see yourself in one of her Facebook albums: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Action-Flick-Chick/78541940336 You’re more than welcome to tag yourself in the photo.
