Day #16: Viva Piñata!
General Thoughts: This is an open ended gardening simulator game designed to emphasize mellow fun. You build a garden by shoveling around dirt and planting seeds in hopes of attracting all kinds of piñata animals. That’s about as tense and action-packed as taking a nap, but in this case it’s a very good thing. This game is extremely noob friendly. It holds your hand and pats your butt all the way until you are ready to go off on your own. It also gives you the choice to skip all the hand holding if you know what to do and want to immediately get to the baby stuff. Once you have piñatas in your garden you try to please them until they are ready to “romance” which is a G rated term for them doin’ it. Once the “romance dance” is done, a storkos brings in a baby. And that, kids, is where babies come from.
31 Minutes of Play: I started off by rolling up my sleeves and getting to work. I broke up so much hard soil with a shovel I feel like I got real calluses on my hands. Right after I finished pounding the dirt into submission, I got my first whirlm resident, which is a worm but cuter cause he’s stuffed with CANDY. First comes whirlms, then come the sparrowmint birds, and before I knew it everybody was ready to do the romance dance and a storkos was hauling in the babies by the truckloads. I also got several awards including the Whirlm Romancer (I got my whirlms to do it) and Piñata Name Caller (I named one of my piñatas). I successfully planted grass over my entire garden and have started a sizable community of piñatas, although at one point a crazed terrorist piñata with a German accent tried to take over my garden, and I had to boot his butt right out. Yipee-Ki-Yay!
Fun Rating: 4 Romance Dances, out of 5!
This is the Action Flick Chick, and you’ve just been kicked in the ass!
