May Mega Mayhem: Prototype

Day #20: Prototype!

General Thoughts: You play as Alex Mercer, a shape shifting weirdo who is looking to get revenge on the people who made him into the indestructible shape shifter he is today. He can absorb people, disguise himself as his victims, run up buildings, throw tanks, and transform his arms into blades, claws, etc. In the game you can either go on missions, or you can choose to free ball it and just run around and kill whatever you want. The game really gives you the freedom to act like as much of a doo-doo head as you please.

31 Minutes of Play: I was sent on several simple missions consisting of kill/destroy X thing. I freakin’ wrecked some stuff! I started by slicing and dicing some black ops military baddies. I threw them into cars, I cut them in two, and I absorbed some of them. Then I turned my attention to the hunters which look very similar to Nemesis from Resident Evil. I used a wicked sword-arm to cut them to pieces and demolish them. Then it was tanks and helicopters. I picked up a tank and exploded a helicopter with it. I continued this for the rest of my 31 minutes and had a hella good time.

Fun Rating: 4 Shape Shifting Doo-Doo Heads Wearing Too Much Eye Liner, out of 5!

If you liked Prototype you might like Spider-Man Web of Shadows. They’re both very similar games.
