Coming Attraction: Devil (2010) – the Devilator!

The Devilator is almost here! M. Night Shyamalan’s new film Devil possesses theaters and elevators everywhere September 17, 2010. The film is about five complete strangers who pile into the same elevator in an office building. The elevator suddenly stops and weird, supernatural things start happening, and not in a sexy, Aerosmith Love-in-an-Elevator kind of way. So the five strangers (Chris Messina, Logan Marshall-Green, Jenny O’Hara, Jacob Vargas, and Matt Craven) start turning on each other and suspect that one of them is the actual Devil. Gasp! They really should have called it The Devilator! The trailer looks really good, but seeing as how I have not enjoyed films by M. Night Shyamalan, I think I’ll be passing on this one. Check it out and see if it suits your fancy.

  2. (While I won’t force you to explain why you don’t like his films, I WILL say that films do NOT have to have relatable plots or characters.)
“Devil” looks good. It uses a similar idea to films like “Phone Booth”. I’ll watch it and see how he keeps the pacing with the events in the elevator.
