Crank: High Voltage (2009)- Upping the Voltage and Craziness of the Original
…ime only you can see Crank: High Voltage! But wait… that’s not all, folks! Crank (the first one) is not a requirement because Crank 2 has enough flashbacks to keep you in the loop. AND it even throws in some psychedelic scenes to make you feel like you’re high…or going nuts…or both at the same time. What more could you ask for? So don’t wait! Act now, the offer ends soon! If you thought Crank was out of control…you were right. Few could ever top t… Continue reading

Crank (2006): Including the Manliest Kill Ever!?
…e sequel smartly decides to do differently). Consent is important, people! CRANK That said, Crank is still a hell of a great ride overall, and one of Statham’s favorite films from his considerable body of work (and what a body it is, hubba hubba!). Crank: High Voltage takes things into an even crazier direction, so personally I’m keeping my fingers crossed that someday we’ll get to see the third entry in this trilogy, Crank 3: Chev Chelios Versus… Continue reading

Best Romantic Action Movie?
…ntic/action movie” was. My pick: @actionchick: Crank: High Voltage (a.k.a. Crank 2) @actionchick then solicited your thoughts on the matter. As usual, a wide variety of answers emerged, including some that are not action movies (e.g., Shaun of the Dead – having some action does not make it an action movie), some where the “romantic” element is difficult to see (e.g. Alien), and some that even the people who suggested them weren’t certain about (e…. Gamer (2009) Anyone Want Some Tea!
…d Brian Taylor wrote and directed this film. They are the ones who created Crank. So of course it was crazy and also had a lot of nudity. All the pieces of the puzzle just came together for me. I love it when that happens. The action was pretty brutal with some nice brain splats. There is quite a hefty body count; however, it’s death row inmates killing each other, so that makes it all okay, right? Well, that was Castle’s (Michael C. Hall) view an… Continue reading

Happy Birthday Clifton Collins Jr!
…Collins Jr., who you might know from Boondock Saints 2 or the also-awesome Crank 2, turned 40 yesterday. To celebrate his b-day we’re posting his newly directed music video: Jamey Johnson’s High Cost of Living. It’s kind of a country-folksie song about a guy who is down on his luck because of his magic mustache. Ok, so the mustache thing might be my own personal interpretation, but if you look closely it’s there. Anyway, happy birthday, Mr. Collin… Continue reading
