SDCC: Women Who Kick Ass!
…ll really depends on some things and that it’s a cliffhanger. Dum dum dum! Zoe Saldana was next to speak about her role as Nyota Uhura in the new Star Trek flick. Now she is an amazing woman. She gained much respect from me from some of the things she was saying on the panel. Apparently, Elizabeth Mitchell fell in love with her as well. She had to be reminded several times of what the question was because she was so engrossed with what Saldana sai… Continue reading

AFC Classic: The Losers Neither Wins Nor Loses
…appearing dead to the world. The guys end up stuck in Bolivia until Aisha (Zoe Saldana) finds them and helps get them back into America if they promise to help her get Max. The Losers is a perfectly acceptable, completely average action film. The plot was neither exciting enough to make you wet your pants, nor was it so boring you would rather be giving yourself an enema than watching the film. Nope, it was right in the middle of mildly entertaini… Continue reading
The Losers (2010)
…s Evans and he definitely added some classic Evans charm to his character. Zoe Saldana did a great job being a bad ass femme fatale. She’s hot, she’s dangerous, and she can make a grown man squeal. Score one for the ladies! Another bonus for this film is that it’s five buff dudes and a hot girl kicking butt. The action itself was well paced and there was a lot of it, though there’s not much that’s especially tense or crazy about it. It’s just plai… Continue reading

Film Review: Colombiana (2011)
…after remake and formulaic movies such as Colombiana. Colombiana stars Zoe Saldana as Cataleya, a hardcore assassin seeking revenge on the people who murdered her parents in front of her as a child. That one sentence sums it up completely. How many times has this story been used before? A LOT! But that’s okay with me as long as it has good action…but it didn’t. The action in Colombiana was very low key, making it feel very sparse. Cataleya does a… Continue reading

Being Human 3-10: Hungry Hungry Stevie
…attacked/tried to chow down on her. Whew! Sorry, Nick, but between you and Zoe, I’d rather she survived. She’s a smart, interesting character and deserves better than to be eaten by a zombie. Zoe sends Sally packing, telling her to stay away from her after Nick’s ghost warns her about the hunger. But then Nick gets his door and all seems to be okay. Then Sally decides to visit Stevie’s parents house and finds that Stevie beat her to it. He visited… Continue reading

Star Trek (2009) A Fistful of Phaser
…the delight of Star Trek fans ‘round the globe. Also there’s the luscious Zoe Saldana as Uhura, the beefy Eric Bana as the villainous Nero, and Karl “Captain of Rohan” Urban as Bones. And the list goes on and on. They all did an excellent job in their roles, and I really mean that. Just so you’ll be prepared going into this flick, I’ve comprised a survival guide for the Starfleet crew. It’s not all inclusive, but it’s a start. Survival tips 101 f… Continue reading
