District 9 (2009) Spoiler Free!

The basic plot of District 9 is centered around aliens living on earth. An alien ship gets stuck right over Johannesburg, South Africa, and when nothing comes out of it, the humans do what they do best and go busting their way up in the… Continue reading

The Green Hornet (2011): Watch It Lest You Be Stung!
…ur). He was real torn up about it and after announcing the death he said, “District Attorney Scanlon is dead, which is unfortunate, but ya know, that’s what happens.” The delivery was priceless. Best Kill: District Attorney Scanlon is about to get away scott free when Kato says, “I don’t think so.” He rams Scanlon out of a window with half of the Black Beauty. Scanlon falls several stories, goes splat on the ground, and is crushed by the Black Bea… Continue reading

Coming Attraction: Elysium (2013)
…ow-budget, high-awesome sci-fi flick about aliens and apartheid. With Elysium, Blomkamp looks to be returning to the sci-fi genre with the same kind of social commentary and emotional maturity with which he approached District 9. Whether Elysium turns out to be a fun watch will remain to be seen, but the trailer looks neat! Elysium will hit theaters August 9. This is the Action Flick Chick, and you’ve been kicked in the ass!… Continue reading
Interview with David Leitch (Matrix, 300, Wolverine, Bourne Ultimatum, Confessions of an Action Star) Pt. 1
…ion movies? David: I love them. I mean that’s made my living. I still watch 90% of the action movies that hit the theatres, for sure. It’s part of my business, but because I also like the genre. David: No, actually I’m a pretty self conscious person in that way. I guess I do enjoy performing, but… I don’t know… Continue reading
