G4TV Women of the Web – Tune in December 30 to Find Out
Katrina appreciates every word of encouragement and loves the fact that so many of you care. Just please don’t press her for information about how it turned out. Talking about it is great; just don’t expect her to answer beyond referring you back to this page. She really needs to avoid saying anything. Buzz has gone wild for the low-low-low-itsy-bitsy-teensy-weensy budget ($15,000) fright film Paranormal Activity from DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures.
Read several other fangirls’ linked reviews. Watch the trailer that some people found too scary to sit through, and if you don’t think that’s scary enough, just wait until the Action Flick Chick’s friend Andre Meadows (BlackNerd of Reelz Channel’s Movie Mob) shows you what a nerd does in the dark. You’ve been warned! Continue reading

Freedom Day – Freedom for All
Tomorrow is Freedom Day, also called Emancipation Day and best known as Juneteenth, which originally commemorated the abolition of slavery in Texas but has reached across the nation to be recognized by 31 states in the United States of America. By no means should anything detract from the day’s meaning in honoring those who suffered under slavery in the USA and those who fought to overcome it. But maybe it can mean something more. Maybe we can honor them even more strongly by talking about everyone’s freedom. Continue reading
