Action Flick Chick | August 1, 2009

Gran Torino is a horrible action movie and that’s why it is classified as a drama. As a drama, it’s pretty good. Clint Eastwood is back and up to the same old terrifying everyone he comes into contact with and being intimidating routine. He is just hella good at that.

There was a lot of implied action: implied torture, implied kills. Forget that, I want to see the torture; I want to see the killing and decapitations, none of that panning away and letting your imagination take over. I watch TV, I don’t have an imagination.
