The Seventh Son trailer hit the internet and managed to evoke no excitement from me at all. Based on the first book in The Wardstone Chronicles by Joseph Delaney, the film stars Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore as leading good/bad guys respectively. Master Gregory (Bridges) takes up an apprentice, Tom (Ben Barnes), to teach him everything he knows about fighting evil monsters. The trailer reminds me of Season of the Witch, and while it looks okay, fails to impress. We’ll see whether the magic of the Bridges can help turn this into something better when The Seventh Son comes out on January 17, 2014 (Pro tip: A January release generally means that the movie studio thinks the movie is a doodie).
