Last month we spoke with Lisa Fary and John Dallaire of Pink Raygun about their webcomic Intergalactic Law: Grey Squad, which they had entered in the monthly competition for a contract with DC’s Zuda line of online comics. This month we’re going to speak with the creative team behind a May Zuda entry starring a new action chick, Amber Hale, Supermodel. (Read it!) While we work on that, we get to offer you an exclusive look at a different kind of story which Amber’s creator Daren Strange co-authored with Lewis Walker.

Overview:
To escape the witch hunt on their family, Joseph and Elise DeLorme flee France to colonial America with their young daughter Victoria.  Fearing discovery, they vow to keep their powers secret, but it isn’t long before they realize Victoria’s abilities are too unstable to be harnessed and the family is blamed for mysterious, unexplained fires plaguing the township.

The townsfolk are up in arms as suspicion grows to hostility against the DeLormes.  As her parents face possible execution, Victoria is haunted by a strange, eerie voice warning her he’ll be there for her soon…

Reign is a sci-fi/historical-fiction/drama comic book beginning in the year 1717 AD.  It reveals Victoria DeLorme’s innocent beginnings as a 7-year-old child and continues into her adulthood, exploring how she becomes the ruthless villain that appears in Black Halo’s Divinity.
