Mini Review: True Grit

What YOU need to know:

• Jeff Bridges (Rooster Cogburn) really does have true grit and seemed perfect for the role.
• Hailee Steinfeld (Mattie Ross) was top notch and seemed perfect for the role.
True Grit overall is solid entertainment with a good story line, a little action throughout so that I wasn’t bored to tears, and had great actors all around.
• For once, this seems to be a very appropriate movie to remake. It introduces True Grit to the younger generations and has inspired many to revisit the original. The remake is not a scene-for-scene duplicate of the original either. There are enough differences to make it worth your time to watch both films if you want to, but not so different that you absolutely have to.
True Grit definitely worth a watch if you haven’t seen it, whether it’s in the theaters or rented.

This is the Action Flick Chick, and you’ve just been kicked in the ass.
