May Mega Mayhem: Super Mario RPG!

Day #18: Super Mario RPG!

General Thoughts: Yay! Mario! You’ll have to dig in the closet and dust off your Super Nintendo to play this one. Or if you’re like me just put the game in and turn on the TV. This is a single player RPG starring none other than Mario! In the game, you play as Mario on his quest to gain seven stars. Along the way he recruits several friends to help, some being classic Mario characters, and a couple of brand new ones. Super Mario RPG was easy to pick up and walked you through everything nicely, easing you into the game. It’s not as exciting as some of the modern games, but it’s chock full of old school charm.

31 Minutes of Play: Bowser made the BIG mistake of kidnapping Princess Toadstool in the very beginning of the game. So, naturally, Mario went to save her! As Mario, I made it through the Bowser’s castle and came face to face with ol’ ugly himself. After a grueling, bloody, and exhausting fight, I finally knocked him off his platform. Right when I was about to save her, Bowser came back and took her AGAIN! I’m a little tired of having to save her ass all the time! I, personally, think that the Princess lets herself get kidnapped cause she gets a kick out of having two boys fightin’ over her. The journey to save the princess is always awesome, so I decided to continue on for a few more levels, battling Goombas and turtles along the way.

Fun Rating: 3 Crying Bowsers, out of 5!

This is the Action Flick Chick, and you’ve just been kicked in the ass!
