Day #19: Katamari Damacy!

General Thoughts: Katamari Damacy is a game where you play the Prince of the Cosmos, son of the King of the Cosmos, who accidentally breaks all the stars in the sky. Kingy then has the gall to tell you to go to earth to make new stars by collecting big balls made of all kind of crap that you roll up from the ground. From there, you can either play the tutorial to learn everything you need to know, or you can just jump right in and start making balls! It’s a lot of fun.

31 Minutes of Play: I played through the tutorial first. I learned all the controls and then was put on Earth to make my very first ball of crap. It had to be 10 cm before the King of Cosmos would come pick me back up and take me home. After I was done making it, I was picked up and my 10 cm ball of crap was turned into a Jelly Star! My star was primarily made from snacks (go figure, I love to eat), then games, then stationary. I decided to follow this up with a second mission. This time I was supposed to get a 20 cm ball of crap in 6 minutes. The first time I tried, I was at 19.5 cm when my time ran out. Grrrr! I did manage to make the deadline next time and created another star. Rest easy, everyone, the Action Flick Chick will make the sky light up again, one star at a time.
