I'm so on the fence with Avatar, but will see it regardless. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is absolutely lovely if you enjoy films rich and alive from the art direction to the costuming. I might go see 'Avatar', but like you, I'm pretty ambivalent about it. And 'Translymania' looks like it will be another in a long line of crappy parodies that go for the obvious and make no attempt to elevate itself (I think the last one that was actually funny was 'Not Another Teen Movie' but I could be wrong)..
