Jason Statham has a new film coming out next week called Safe. Luke Wright (Statham) accidentally gets pulled into a struggle between the Triads, Russian Mafia, and corrupt NYC police officers all hoping to obtain a safe combination. So how does Luke get involved? He nobly protects a 12 year old girl, Mei (Catherine Chan), on the subway from a group of men out to get her. He then learns that every baddie in the world is after this girl because she knows the combination to this treasure-filled safe. Luke makes it his mission to keep Mei safe and to kick the ass of what looks like every baddie in NYC! Yes! I’m excited about this one! No one is safe from Jason Statham starting April 27, 2012.

I saw the trailer for this one on TV the other day and it intrigued me. It does look like a lot of good old-fashioned ass-kicking action. Kind of like crossing Shoot-em-up with Man on Fire, so you end up with a drama filled with action instead of emo.
This movie is not playing here in town….and I am PO! I really wanted to see it. I had to see Pirates. Band of Misfits instead….yeah I am PO!
