What once started as a fake trailer during Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse is now a full length feature film written and directed by Rodriguez. This fake trailer for Machete caused so much excitement that they decided to make it into a real film, starring Danny Trejo as the eponymous Machete on a mission of revenge. I don’t know about you, but any guy named “Machete” is not worth messing with. There’s usually a very specific reason someone picks up a name like that, and it’s not because they’re a great prep cook. The film also stars some hot, tough ladies such as Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez. I wonder if Michelle Rodriguez plays a character that actually lives through the entire film? Robert De Niro is also in the film alongside Steven Seagal, Cheech Marin, and Jeff “We’re not going to Guam, are we?” Fahay! It slices its way onto the screen September 3, 2010.

Grindhouse was really bad but the Machete trailer was actually one of the bright spots….so maybe it won’t be so bad. Besides Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez look really HOT in the trailers!! It has to be better than Spy Kids 4!
