Coming Attraction: John Carter (2012)!

Walt Disney Pictures presents John Carter, a film based on a book, “A Princess of Mars,” by Edgar “Tarzan the monkey-man” Rice Burroughs. A civil war vet, John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), is transplanted to Mars where he finds himself in the middle of a battle between various nations of the planet. He then takes it upon himself, like the hero that he is, to save the planet and its Avatar-like people. Since it’s Disney, it will probably have some nice, clean action in it. For those who like the dirtier, gorier action, I’m betting you’ll have to look elsewhere. A couple of good points for the film is that is stars the always awesome Willem Dafoe, the always villainous Mark Strong, and the always beautiful Lynn Collins. Also, Andrew Stanton (Wall-E, Finding Nemo) will be directing John Carter. The film will be released in 3D on March 9, 2012.

This looks like the next big Hollywood flop! I don’t know who ok’d that budget but they probably will be out of a job after this movie. I am not looking forward to this film at all but who knows maybe it will surprise me and it won’t suck!
