Coming Attraction: Battle: Los Angeles (2011)

Posted By Action Flick Chick on November 23, 2010

Battle: Los Angeles is an upcoming science fiction film inspired by a true incident in Los Angeles. In 1942 there was supposedly an unidentified object hovering over Los Angeles to which we responded by firing anti-aircraft missiles at it. Later the next morning, it was reported at a press conference to be a false alarm.   Were they telling the truth or was it just a cover up? In March, we will get to see a battle between Los Angeles and aliens on the big screen. Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Pena, and Bridgett Moynahan strap on their biggest guns and make sure to eat their Wheaties to fight off an alien invasion of Los Angeles. It looks really intense and action crazed. Could this possibly be a film where Michelle Rodriguez’s character actually survives? We shall see March 11, 2011. You can do it, Michelle! I believe in you!

This is the Action Flick Chick, and you’ve just been kicked in the ass!

This looks squarely between the lines of Independence Day and Cloverfield. It seems like it’s taking the better aspects of those two movies, though, so this should be a good popcorn flick!
